Spurs could reportedly swoop for Real Madrid attacker Isco if they are forced to replace Christian Eriksen in winter. Denmark international will see his current deal with Tottenham expire next summer, and so to avoid a nightmare scenario in which they lose him for free, Spurs could look to offload him in winter.
Any fee generated from his sale could then go towards signing a replacement, and reports in Spain are suggesting that the Argentine tactician could be in a strong position to prise Spain international away from the Los Blancos and take him to Tottenham.
Spurs are in pole position for Isco, but ultimately it will depend on Christian leaving first, with La Liga giants even touted as a possible destination for Tottenham ace. Further, it’s added that Bayern Munich are also interested in Spaniard, and so perhaps Spurs will face competition in the New Year to land the 27-year-old attacker’s signature.
The Spanish playmaker has struggled in truth to showcase his quality and fulfil his potential as he has just 48 goals and 52 assists in 280 games for Real Madrid. He is a regular member of the national team squad and also helped them to reach the playoff in the 2018 World Cup.
