Tottenham join race to sign £110,000-a-week England international

Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana is reportedly expected to choose a transfer to Spurs over several other possible bids this summer. England international is nearing the end of his deal at the Merseyside club and would make a tempting free transfer for several top clubs next campaign.

Adam has been identified as a top target for Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho as he seems to rebuild this squad in his image after inheriting a struggling side from Mauricio Pochettino earlier this campaign.

The report goes on to say that Spurs now seems like being Lallana’s most likely next destination, amid links with Arsenal, Leicester City and West Ham United as well. The 31-year-old playmaker still seems a useful footballer whenever he gets on the pitch for the Reds, even if that is a lot less often these days.

London club supporters would probably be pretty happy with this signing if it does go through, with changes needed as this group of footballers seems to have come to the end of its cycle. Christian Eriksen’s move to Inter Milan in winter also leaves something of a gap to be filled in the attacking midfield department.
