Tottenham join race to sign €35m-rated Turkey international

Spurs are reportedly interested in signing AS Roma forward Cengiz Under. Turkey international has been a regular for the Serie A club since joining them from Istanbul Basaksehir, amassing 16 goals and 11 assists in 82 games across all tournaments.

The Portuguese manager is an admirer of Cengiz who is currently valued at  €35m. The report also claims that the Spurs will attempt to sign him if they can reach the UCL. Cengiz hasn’t had a very good 2019/20 with the Giallorossi so far, scoring two goals in 17 games across all tournaments so far.

Both of the 22-year-old winger’s goals have come in Serie A fixtures with Genoa. Spurs have a pretty good front-line which has only been bolstered with the signing of Steven Bergwijn but Jose Mourinho might need some more reinforcements if they are a challenge for the Premier League next campaign.

The Turkish forward has the potential to be a big name in the future, but given his current, it doesn’t seem too likely that Spurs would make a move for him. Tottenham have excellent consequences in the Premier League as they are in fifth place in the table.
