Arsenal have emerged as leaders to land Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid this transfer window.
Despite preferring to remain at Santiago Bernabeu in the long term, Dani Ceballos is understood to be open to a loan exit ahead of the new season in a bid to earn regular first-team action.
Spurs have previously been suggested as the frontrunners to win the transfer race for the player.
However, Marca says that it is the north London rivals Arsenal who are most likely to sign the 22-year-old.
Unai Emery may see Dani Ceballos as a straight replacement for departed midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who has linked up with Juventus on a free transfer earning £400,000 per week.
The Europa League finalists are also understood to be chasing Lucas Vazquez, while Mariano Diaz is another Real Madrid player who could move to Emirates.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s Toby Alderwiereld surprisingly does not have a huge market and the Mirror claims, Roma are the only team to register their interest in signing the centre-back, and they will step up their bid today.
The 29-year-old has starred for north London club since joining from Atletico Madrid back in 2015, participating in more than 150 matches.
The Belgian has become one of the best centre-backs, and given that a £25 million clause can be activated up until July 26th, many expected him to have gone by now.
It is reported that Roma’s Franco Baldini wants to lower the price, which Daniel Levy surely will not be pleased with the release clause already being low enough.
